Restaurant TOYO opened its doors in Paris in 2009, with Chef Toyomitsu Nakayama, the namesake of the restaurant,as the Owner/ Executive Chef. Chef Nakayama headed to France in 1994 to work as a chef in a French restaurant, and later as personal chef to world-renowned Japanese designer, Mr Kenzo Takada. Restaurant TOYO Tokyo opened in 2018.

The chef wakes up at 5 o'clock every morning and goes to the Toyosu market, where he is stocking fish with a good taste! It is a French course that incorporates plenty of Japanese ingredients, exquisite fish, and a Japanese taste. It was not a shortfall (even if it was not enough), so it was a safe course with the elderly.
